Historical Significance 28 Revolutionary War soldiers from the Rhode Island Regiment and 5 officers from the British Army who were recently discovered buried in a mass grave in the WilmingtonBrandywine Cemetery will be honored in a special ceremony.
The ceremony includes the unveiling of a memorial for the sixty-six soldiers buried together in a mass grave in Wilmington-Brandywine Cemetery. The memorial bears the names of thirty-three soldiers who have been identified.
